Temporary fuel surcharge: fair distribution of rising transport costs prevents larger price increases

Due to rising transport costs, we are introducing a small temporary surcharge – transparent, fair, and without compromising our service quality.

Due to the current situation in the Middle East, transport costs have increased significantly worldwide. These developments are also affecting our shipping rates. Instead of implementing a substantial, permanent increase in shipping costs — which would disproportionately impact certain customers — we have consciously chosen a fairer solution.

To distribute the additional costs as evenly as possible, we will introduce a temporary fuel surcharge for all customers starting Monday 04-05: 

  • €1 per parcel
  • €5 per pallet

In this way, we share the impact of rising transport costs together, while Almec will continue to absorb the majority of these costs.

With this approach, we prevent major price increases for specific customer groups and can continue to guarantee our service and delivery reliability. Transparency is key: as soon as the situation stabilizes and transport costs return to normal levels, this temporary fuel surcharge will be removed immediately.

We greatly appreciate the understanding and trust of our customers. Together, we ensure that we can continue to deliver quality and service, even in challenging times.
